Today’s graduates have faced an abrupt and unsettling end to their high school career. They missed the usual milestones so many look forward to like awards ceremonies, senior trips, prom, spring sports and even graduation ceremonies.

As a mom of two high school seniors, Eileen Meilunas, President of Luna Beach Interiors, knows firsthand the disruptions the COVID-19 pandemic has caused. Stay-at-home restrictions have been hard for all students of Alabama, and the entire nation, but especially for seniors. Seeing her children’s sadness was overwhelming, they decided to switch the focus to the future. As many seniors are off to college this fall, it’s an exciting time and their futures are bright! What could Eileen do RIGHT NOW to help her two seniors shift their focus? She and her twins began designing their dorm rooms and a sparkle returned to her children’s eyes! It was indeed a welcome sight. Eileen had always wanted to design dorm rooms and the timing now seemed perfect. So that is why Luna Dorm Interiors was created.
